Implementation Project Manager
The Professional Services Group is looking for an energetic, team-oriented individual to fill the role of Implementation Project Manager. Potential candidates will have the following characteristics:
- Experience managing software implementation projects of various size and complexity, preferably in the alternative investment and/or financial services industry
- Enjoys building relationships with clients and co-workers
- Able to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize and work well within time and resource constraints
- Eagerness and aptitude for understanding the alternative investment management industry
- Adept problem-solver with strong analytical skills
- Embraces a collaborative environment
- Expects to contribute to the direction of the group and company
- Desire to provide excellent client service
Core Responsibilities
- Work across internal teams and with client project manager to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget and meet client expectations
- Assess and manage project scope and budget, processing change orders where needed
- Help clients integrate their business processes with the software platform
- Coordinate and participate in data conversions
- Conduct on and offsite training (25% travel may be required)
- Conduct phase or milestone reviews for larger, multi-module projects to adjust overall project plan as needed.
- Assist in the transition of the customer from professional services to product support
- Identify client and industry trends to keep abreast of client business and possible incorporation into the Backstop platform
- Identify client needs for additional services or modules and occasionally work with License Sales to develop a proposal/SOW for large prospects
- Effectively interact with all levels of management
- Demonstrate competency in the Backstop Solutions Group product suite within six months
- Provide guidance and mentoring to team members working on projects they manage
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of enterprise project management experience and 5 years of progressive consulting experience.
