Two-factor Authentication

The RSA SecurID® authentication system is relied upon by thousands of organizations worldwide to protect valuable network resources. The RSA SecurID authenticator requires users to identify themselves with two unique factors-something they know and something they have-before they are granted access.

Each RSA SecurID authenticator has a unique symmetric key that is combined with a powerful algorithm to generate a new code every 60 seconds. Because the number is unpredictable and dynamic, it would be extremely difficult for a hacker to guess the correct number at any given time.

Patented technology synchronizes each authenticator with the security server, ensuring a very high level of security. In fact, RSA SecurID has a track record of 15 years with no reported security breaches.

Security Made Easy

RSA SecurID authenticators are as simple to use as entering a password, but much more secure. Each end user is assigned a compact, keychain style, RSA SecurID authenticator that generates a one-time-use code. When logging on, the user simply enters this number plus a secret Personal Identification Number (PIN) to be successfully authenticated.

Availability

RSA SecurID authenticators are optionally available for all Backstop Solutions Group applications, including Backstop, Backstop PM, and InvestorBridge. They can be purchased along with the initial software license, or added on to an existing implementation at a later date.
